The Steampunk Laptop will add a dash of Victorian style to your work desk
After funky keyboard options and a cool Steampunk monitor, its time for Datamancer to present us with a completely functional computing setup. This time around it is the famous "Steampunk Laptop”. The stunning piece of work gives out the company’s trademark antique look, but don’t let that deceive you. The laptop is said to feature “cutting-edge internal components capable of running any of today's games and other software”. Considering the portability angle that usually appeal to people purchasing such devices, the laptop will “be much lighter and slimmer”, despite “retaining the elegant Victorian styling” which is a signature styling of the brand.
On the customization front, you can pick designs for the LCD lid “including clockworks, recessed gold foil maps, brass plates with a variety of designs engraved or photo-etched into them” among others. The laptop may also spot a “key-shaped USB flash drive” that will also open the brass lock set on each machine. Currently sold in the PC version (MAC OS options might follow). As for colors, you can pick a wood stain, light oak, dark red mahogany hues alongside key fonts, metals, LED colors and styles, options as well. If you hurry now, you can pre-order the device which is priced at $5500 for the first batch. Retail prices would be around $7500.
