Michael Jackson’s Thriller jacket worth $1.8 million

I can’t believe it has been two years since Michael Jackson passed away. But he didn’t leave just a legacy behind, the style icon also left a part of his persona too. Recently his famous famed black-and-red calfskin jacket that he donned for the classic Thriller video went under the hammer at Julien's Auctions at Beverly Hills. The Jacket has been picked up for a staggering $1.8 million by Milton Verret, who is a commodities trader from Austin. This is one of the two MJ wore for the video way back in the 1983 Thriller video. This particular jacket can be seen in the scene where he performs a routine amidst a troupe of zombies who rise from their graves.

The new owner says that this jacket will go on a tour to raise funds for children's charities. This particular sale will see proceeds sent to the Shambala Preserve, which is a big cat sanctuary caring for two tigers off which one was Jackson’s. The Thriller trousers earlier fetched $1 million on an eBay auction.
